What makes Forge different from journaling apps?
+
Journaling apps store your thoughts. Forge extracts your pattern from them — then deploys a Coach that has read everything you've written before it responds. Day One doesn't know your sabotage archetype. Forge does after 45 minutes. That's the difference between a diary and an interrogation room.
How is the Coach different from ChatGPT or Claude?
+
ChatGPT has no memory of you, no stake in your outcome, and no mandate to confront you. The Forge Coach has read your Identity File, knows your One True Thing, your sabotage archetype, your self-trust level — and is specifically instructed to not let you get away with the moves it knows you make.
Is my data private? Does Forge train AI on my sessions?
+
No. Forge runs on the Anthropic API under commercial API terms, which explicitly prohibit using your data to train AI models. Your Identity File, Coach sessions, and all behavioral data are encrypted, private to you, and never used for any training purpose.
What happens to The Letter if I cancel during the trial?
+
The Letter is yours unconditionally. It was written by you, for you, on Day 1. It opens on Day 90 whether you are subscribed at that point or not. This is not a retention mechanic. It's a commitment we make to the integrity of the system. If you wrote it, you will receive it. Full stop.
How long does the onboarding take and is it really necessary?
+
45 minutes. One time. Necessary? The onboarding isn't a setup process — it's the product. The 13 stages are where your Identity File is built. Without it, the Coach has nothing to work with. 91% of users complete it. Set aside uninterrupted time.
What if the confrontation feels too intense?
+
You choose the mode. Mirror mode reflects without judgment. Momentum mode focuses on what's working. Confrontation is your choice, not a default. That said: if the idea of an honest mirror feels too intense, that is worth examining.
